Toyota Commercial - Stronger

Lately, it seems like this Toyota Camry commercial plays constantly on the TV. It has become one of my favorite commercials! Beneath the youtube video it says "Experience the star power of Entune™ mobile technology. Whether it's sports scores, streaming radio, movie tickets or restaurant reservations, you'll find everything you're looking for with the reinvented 2012 Camry." Kelly Clarkson stars in the video as well as Chris Berman (sportscaster for ESPN), Andrew Zimmern (the host for Bizarre Foods), and James Lipton (from Inside The Actor's Studios). I thought it was pretty creative how they used those four people to represent apps available in the car for sports, streaming radio, movie tickets, and restaurant reservations. I, also, really like the song, Stonger by Kelly Clarkson, that they chose to use in the commercial. I have also posted the music video for that song below.

Megan Rapinoe's Celebration during the USA vs Colombia Soccer Game

After scoring a goal during the USA vs Colombia soccer game, Megan Rapinoe decides to celebrate. She does this by running over and singing "Born in the USA" into the field mic! The game had another patriotic celebration after another goal that took place in the 12th minute of the game. The team had invited members of the U.S. military that were stationed at the Army's base in Heidelberg, Germany to their training sessions and the game itself. After Heather O'Reilly scored that goal in the 12th minute of the game, the entire team lined up to solute the troops. The USA won the game 3-0 to advance to the World Cup quarterfinals where they will be playing against Sweden.

Crazy Basketball Court!

This court (in Munich, Germany) is just like any other regulation sized basketball court with some distorted lines painted on it right?
WRONG! Look again but from a different angle.
The court is actually morphed. It is made up of several hills to make your game of basketball very interesting. I wouldn't suggest playing a serious game of basketball on this court unless you could care less about what happens to your ankles! lol Still, it's very cool to look at and the court allows you to come up with some creative rules for the next game one would play here.

Check out the full article on the court HERE!
It gives a more detailed description of the court and is pretty interesting to read!

Baseball Highlights!

There have been some cool things happening in baseball lately!
First of all, a Cirque du Soleil performer throws out the first pitch at the Kansas City vs. San Diego baseball game at PETCO Park. This pitch is very different from any other opening pitch that I have ever seen or heard of in a baseball game. The performer does an amazing flip in the air and throws the ball as he lands back on the ground. CHECK OUT HIS PITCH! If you would like to read more about the performer in the yahoo news story HERE!

Next up in baseball: a cub's fan returns a home run ball, hit by Miguel Tejada, back to the giants dugout. This doesn't seem like anything to exciting but this kid didn't just run over and give the ball to the athletes in the Giant's dugout; instead, he threw the ball all the way from his seat into the infield and it rolls right up to the dugout! Click HERE to check out the video. This kid has one amazing arm! You can also read the yahoo news story by clicking HERE.

Luckiest Skateboarder Alive!

You won't believe what you see! This kid nearly dies but manages to stay alive to share this story with everyone. Check out this amazing videobelow or click HERE!

Kid Throws Ball Back at a Baseball Game

A boy watching the San Francisco Giants vs. Cleveland Indians game on Saturday when he caught Andres Torres' foul ball. Instead of keeping the ball, he shocked those around him, especially his dad (to the right of the video), and threw the ball back to the field. This kid has a sweet arm though! Check out the video from the game and read the full article by clicking HERE!

What Does a $500 Million Golf Course Look Like??

Seafloor walkway
Well for starters, the course will be made up of several interlinked islands. Together these will provide you with 27 holes of golf. You will travel through a Seafloor Walkway to get from island to island. The golf course, known as the Maldive project, will only be a 5 minute boat ride away from the Maldive Capital of Male.

The Benefits to Playing Beach Volleyball

Beach volleyball is an incredible workout! Much like swimming, running on the sand provides natural resistance that works your body more than normal. Indoor volleyball is a great workout but adding sand to the game cranks up the cardio as well as your heart rate by huge amounts! The sand almost holds you in place causing a natural resistance that creates an improved workout.

Playing defense in the sand is no easy task. It’s hard enough to slow down a ball moving at mach speed, but add the slow motion from the beach and you can forget about it. Training in the sand will help your speed and quickness while conditioning your body to move with explosiveness. This is key if you want to play beach volleyball. Jump train in the sand, run in the sand, and dive in the sand to prepare your body to work harder, and you’ll see the results even when you’re not at the beach.

If a beach body is your goal, then you can’t forget about nutrition. Beach volleyball is fun, but even more fun when you’re confident because you body looks great, and a great body generally starts with good nutrition. Taking a multivitamin will provide you with up to a couple dozen of your essential vitamins and minerals. The benefits of a multivitamin are pretty far reaching actually, and if you want a healthy body and a healthy lifestyle, a multivitamin is certainly a good place to start.
